DevOps Engineer (Remote - US only)

Candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals, or be eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State export authorizations. Willingness to travel to customer and test sites is required. A defense technology company building autonomous aircraft and command-and-control software for coordinating large groups of uncrewed aerial vehicles. The DevOps Engineer will be part of the infrastructure team that builds and runs the platform behind the company's operator software. The software needs to ship quickly, run reliably, and be deployable in many different customer environments.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that move software from commit to production across several environments
• Manage infrastructure as code for both cloud and on-premises deployments
• Run and scale containerized services on Kubernetes
• Set up monitoring, logging, alerting, and on-call tooling
• Package and deploy the platform into customer environments, including travel to customer and test sites when needed
• Work with the security lead to build security and compliance requirements into the platform from the start

What you need

• 4 to 8 years of experience in DevOps, platform, SRE, or infrastructure engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containers, and infrastructure as code such as Terraform
• Experience building and owning CI/CD pipelines in production
• Solid Linux and networking fundamentals
• Scripting ability in Python, Go, or Bash
• Active Secret clearance or higher is strongly preferred; must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
