DevOps Specialist

This is a remote, worldwide contract role for an experienced DevOps professional. It suits engineers who enjoy automating cloud infrastructure while keeping systems secure and reliable. The work sits at the point where operations, cybersecurity and platform design meet, supporting an education technology platform. It is a senior-level position for someone comfortable owning pipelines, containers and monitoring end to end, and who can also investigate incidents thoroughly to find their root causes.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure using infrastructure as code
• Deploy and orchestrate containerised applications with Docker and Kubernetes
• Implement DevSecOps practices and cloud security controls
• Set up logging, monitoring and alerting frameworks
• Build cloud-based lab environments for learning platforms
• Carry out root-cause analysis of incidents

What you need

• 3 to 4 years of experience in DevOps or cloud infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Working knowledge of DevSecOps and cloud security
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools
• Able to work remotely on a contract basis
