Senior Engineering Manager, Infrastructure (Remote - US only)

A well-funded healthcare technology company that makes insurance and practice operations easier for independent therapists is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead its Infrastructure team. The team sits within a group of foundational platform teams that every other engineering team relies on. You will lead people and set technical direction while staying close to the systems themselves.

What you'll do

• Lead, hire and grow a team of infrastructure engineers, developing engineers toward senior and staff levels
• Own the cloud platform on AWS, including deployment pipelines, the database platform, observability and incident response
• Oversee infrastructure for LLM workloads, such as gateways, multi-provider failover and per-team rate limiting
• Drive the team toward self-serve infrastructure so engineers across the company can ship safely without routine support tickets
• Run an effective on-call rotation and lead architectural work that limits the scope and duration of incidents
• Partner with Security on container security and secrets management, and with product engineering teams on ownership boundaries

What you need

• 5 to 7+ years of engineering leadership experience, including leading infrastructure or platform teams
• 5+ years as a software or infrastructure engineer, with enough depth to lead design reviews and incident response
• Proven experience moving a team from owning everything to a self-serve platform that other engineers use directly
• Experience with AWS at scale, observability tools such as Datadog, and reliability-focused deployment pipelines
• Hands-on use of AI coding tools in day-to-day work; candidates complete a hands-on AI coding interview
• Track record of setting measurable infrastructure goals and making the business case for foundational investment
