GEOINT Analyst, Scams (Remote - US, UK and EMEA)
You must already have the right to work in your country of residence. This is a remote position with a financial crime intelligence company that builds AI-driven tools for government agencies and businesses investigating illicit activity. The role sits on a team that disrupts large-scale online scam operations such as investment fraud and romance fraud. The analyst acts as the team's location specialist, finding where scam compounds sit, who runs them, and how they move, then turning those findings into intelligence that law enforcement partners can act on. The team works fast and asynchronously, with priorities that can shift quickly.
What you'll do
- Locate and map suspected scam compounds using satellite and aerial imagery, geolocation techniques, and open-source geospatial data, and track changes over time such as construction, expansion, or relocation
- Place people, devices, and IP addresses at specific locations using commercial location data, IP geolocation, and other location-bearing telemetry, and build pattern-of-life pictures of operators
- Combine location findings with blockchain attribution, OSINT, and commercial datasets to identify operators, controllers, and movement patterns
- Pivot from a single address, IP, photo, or victim lead to the wider network and the people behind it
- Work with threat intelligence and investigations colleagues to produce targeting packages that support law enforcement and government action
- Write clear memos, attribution write-ups, and actionable leads, and stay available for time-sensitive surge work
What you need
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on GEOINT, imagery analysis, or location-based targeting experience, from military or intelligence geospatial roles, law enforcement targeting, or a comparable private sector GEOINT or OSINT firm
- Strong geolocation and imagery tradecraft, with the ability to place a photo, video, IP, or coordinates with confidence and explain the method
- Experience with commercial location data or ad tech data is strongly preferred
- Proven ability to correlate disparate data sources into defensible findings and to work effectively with open-source and commercial tools
- Regular use of AI tools in your workflow, with concrete examples of how they changed your output (required)
- Clear written and verbal communication, and comfort with overlap with US Eastern and Central time zones
