Legal Specialist (Microsoft Office User)

A remote contract role supporting a project that uses legal expertise to help train and evaluate AI systems. The organisation is a technology firm running AI data and evaluation work for its clients. It suits experienced legal practitioners such as attorneys, paralegals, in-house or outside counsel, and compliance professionals who enjoy careful written work and are comfortable using Microsoft 365 tools daily. The work centres on writing realistic legal scenarios, reviewing legal content for accuracy and sound reasoning, and giving clear feedback on AI-generated legal analysis.

What you'll do

• Design realistic, multi-step legal prompts based on common industry workflows such as contract review, legal research and client advisory memos
• Write, review and refine legal content used for AI training and model evaluation
• Help build and score legal evaluations that test analysis of statutes, case law, contracts and fact patterns
• Produce legal deliverables such as memos, briefs, redlines, summaries and trackers using Microsoft 365 tools
• Analyse legal materials and AI outputs and turn findings into clear recommendations

What you need

• Proven professional experience in a legal role, such as attorney, paralegal, legal counsel or compliance specialist
• Active bar admission, paralegal certification or equivalent legal credentials (preferred, depending on role)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Word (track changes and comparison), Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Copilot
• Excellent written and verbal English communication
• Strong attention to detail and analytical rigour
• Experience with AI training, data annotation or evaluating AI-generated content is an advantage
