Power & Utility Lead

This is an onsite leadership role on the Island in Lagos, Nigeria, within the operations function of a business that relies on dependable power and utility systems. The post suits an experienced electrical engineer who enjoys leading a technical team, planning maintenance, and keeping operations running smoothly. The role balances hands-on technical oversight with budgeting, cost control and reporting, so it is a good fit for someone who combines strong engineering knowledge with clear people management and a practical, problem-solving approach.

What you'll do

• Lead, supervise and develop the power and utility team to meet productivity and quality targets
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of power and utility equipment
• Drive measures to improve equipment performance, reduce outages and control operating costs
• Prepare and manage budgets and monthly reports on power and utility expenses
• Respond to equipment failures and power emergencies with effective problem-solving
• Develop and maintain departmental procedures and operating policies

What you need

• Degree or HND in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
• 5 to 8 years' experience in an electrical engineering supervisory role
• Proven experience leading a team of engineers or technicians
• Strong technical knowledge of power and utility equipment and ability to read electrical diagrams
• Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills
• Good computer literacy and written and verbal communication skills
