Product Manager - Authentication (Remote)

A fully remote, open-source-first developer infrastructure company is looking for a product manager to own its authentication and identity area. The product serves a large developer community and covers everything from sign-up and sign-in to enterprise single sign-on and multi-tenant organisation support. The role suits an experienced product manager who enjoys balancing developer experience with enterprise security needs, works well in writing, and is comfortable shaping direction across engineering, design and go-to-market teams. What you'll do

• Define the authentication roadmap, its rationale and the priority order of what gets built
• Shape the developer experience with engineering and design, from small projects to enterprise security reviews
• Define how authentication should work for AI agents that sign up users, act on their behalf and call APIs
• Use product and usage data to find where developers succeed, get stuck or churn, and decide what to fix first
• Maintain the plan of record so engineering, design and go-to-market teams stay aligned

What you need

• At least 5 years of product management experience on developer tools, or equivalent depth as a founder
• Hands-on experience shipping standards-based auth or identity products such as OAuth/OIDC, SAML, SCIM, or session and token design
• Ability to handle corporate security reviews and day-to-day developer bug reports, separating real enterprise needs from checkbox asks
• Comfortable with relational databases such as Postgres, including row-level security
• Strong written communicator who makes decisions in writing and works asynchronously
