Senior Accountant (Remote - EMEA)

A fully distributed employment platform business with teams across several countries is looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant to own day-to-day accounting, monthly reporting and ERP work across its international entities, with a focus on EMEA. The role suits an experienced accountant who combines sound technical judgment with clear communication and enjoys working independently in an asynchronous, remote-first finance team. You will lead close and audit activities and help strengthen the systems and processes that keep the function accurate and scalable. Candidates must be based within UTC+4 to UTC-4 and authorised to work where they live.

What you'll do

• Manage full-cycle accounting and intercompany transactions for subsidiaries across several regions
• Prepare and review financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities
• Lead month-end and year-end close using clear checklists and documentation
• Coordinate local statutory filings and oversee statutory audits, reconciling local records to the ERP
• Analyse financial data, identify trends or discrepancies and present useful insights
• Work with Finance, Payroll, Tax and Legal teams and guide junior colleagues

What you need

• At least 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 1 year at senior accountant scope
• CPA (or part-qualified) or an equivalent professional accounting qualification
• Strong knowledge of multi-entity accounting, intercompany, financial reporting, reconciliations and close
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and large datasets
• Strong written and spoken English and ability to work independently and asynchronously
• Based within UTC+4 to UTC-4 with a reliable home internet connection
