Senior Solutions Engineer (Remote, United Kingdom)

Candidates must be based in the UK. A fast-growing, fully remote software company that sells a monitoring and observability platform built on open source standards. The Solutions Engineering team are the customer-facing product experts who run demos, technical evaluations and presentations, and partner with Sales to qualify and close deals. The role sits between customers, Sales and the engineering and product teams, translating customer needs into technical solutions.

What you'll do

• Work with the Sales team to explain the company's value proposition, product vision and strategy to prospects and customers
• Own the technical side of customer engagements and help close complex opportunities, using competitive knowledge and technical credibility
• Deliver product and technical presentations to prospective and existing customers
• Feed customer and competitive insights back to product and engineering teams
• Lead product conversations driven by customer needs and problems
• Help create documentation, blog posts, videos and internal or public enablement material

What you need

• At least 5 years of technical pre-sales or solutions engineering experience
• Must be based in the United Kingdom
• Strong written and spoken communication skills for working with remote internal teams and international customers
• Ability to take on varied and complex assignments with sound judgment and collaboration
• Strong technical aptitude and a drive to keep growing technically
• Experience with open source technologies or the metrics and monitoring space is an advantage; familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC is a plus
