Software Engineer, AI Data (Remote, Germany)

A fully distributed AI company that builds audio and text-to-speech products is hiring a software engineer for its AI team. You will build the data pipelines that feed model training and new AI products. The team works asynchronously across time zones and values autonomy and ownership. The company builds large, high-quality datasets by combining engineering, infrastructure and research.

What you'll do

• Find new sources of audio data and build reliable pipelines to bring them into training datasets
• Build and improve large-scale data-processing systems, balancing data quality, throughput and cost
• Work closely with AI scientists to improve training datasets and support next-generation models
• Own engineering projects from problem discovery through implementation and ongoing improvement

What you need

• Based in Germany and able to work remotely from there
• Degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong backend fundamentals
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments
• Experience building and operating production systems, ideally data pipelines or large-scale data processing
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in ambiguous settings
