Software Engineer III (Remote - US and Canada only)

A software company serving the green industry, providing estimating, scheduling, invoicing and payments software to landscaping and tree care businesses across North America. This Software Engineer III role sits in a small product pod on the estimates side of the company's core platform, working alongside a product manager, a designer and a test engineer. The team ships to production continuously and measures success by customer outcomes.

What you'll do

• Design, build, ship and operate backend and frontend features end-to-end, working with the product manager and designer on scope and approach
• Own critical services and improve their reliability, performance and maintainability
• Anticipate failure modes, add guardrails, and follow through on post-incident improvements
• Raise engineering quality through thoughtful code reviews, design docs and clear documentation
• Use AI-assisted development tools in daily work and help the team adopt them well

What you need

• About 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, with depth of impact valued over years alone
• Production experience with C#/.NET and Angular (or a closely related modern framework) and Azure SQL Server or a similar database
• Comfortable with cloud platforms, CI/CD and observability tools, and willing to participate in on-call rotation
• Strong written and verbal communication, and reasoning about latency, consistency and scale trade-offs
• Current daily use of coding assistants or agentic workflows, with a view on where they help and where they hurt
• Legally authorized to work in the US or Canada without sponsorship
