Ultrasound Image Annotator (Remote - Kenya, Nepal, Philippines)

A fast-growing AI data company supporting an AI-powered medical imaging project is hiring contract reviewers with hands-on ultrasound experience. You will review ultrasound video frames and label anatomical structures, tissue boundaries and acoustic shadows to build high-quality training datasets. No prior data annotation experience is needed, since training on the annotation tool and project guidelines is provided. The engagement is an independent contractor role running about 7 months, starting around November 10, 2026.

What you'll do

• Review ultrasound video frames to identify anatomical structures, tissue boundaries and acoustic shadows
• Outline and label structures using annotation software and detailed written guidelines
• Compare images across frames and reference materials to keep labeling consistent
• Flag unclear or low-quality images instead of guessing
• Meet accuracy and productivity standards and act on reviewer feedback
• Attend project training, calibration sessions and occasional team discussions

What you need

• Hands-on experience interpreting ultrasound images, ideally as a sonographer, ultrasound technologist or related medical imaging professional
• Working knowledge of anatomy, especially bone, organ and skeletal structures as they appear on ultrasound
• Understanding of ultrasound image characteristics such as brightness, depth, tissue boundaries and acoustic shadowing
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions consistently
• Reliable computer, large high-resolution monitor, stable high-speed internet, precise mouse or stylus, and a private workspace to view confidential medical images
• Professional written and spoken English, and the ability to work independently and keep medical data confidential
