Account Executive, Insurance (Remote, United States)
This is a new-business sales role at an AI company that builds agent-based operating systems for large, regulated institutions. The company is scaling production deployments nationally and has a growing customer base in government, insurance, health, and financial services. You will build the insurance business from the first buyer conversation through to a signed engagement, working closely with the insurance GM, product, engineering, and deployment teams.
What you'll do
- Source and build a pipeline of insurance opportunities through targeted outreach, executive relationships, partners, and industry events.
- Qualify leads into sales-qualified opportunities, assessing the problem, economics, buyer, funding path, and timing.
- Establish customer baselines and build quantified value cases, proposals, and tailored demonstrations with product and deployment teams.
- Lead complex deals through scoping, pricing, security and legal review, procurement, and negotiation, then hand off agreed scope and success measures to delivery.
- Turn buyer needs, objections, and product gaps into recommendations for product strategy and roadmap priorities.
- Maintain accurate account plans and forecasts, and build repeatable sales materials and practices.
What you need
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise sales, business development, or management consulting, with direct ownership of originating and closing complex deals.
- Track record of personally closing multimillion-dollar custom technology or tailored technology engagements.
- Deep domain knowledge of property & casualty, life & annuities, or specialty insurance, including operating models, workflows, and buying processes.
- Practical fluency with AI tools: able to verify outputs and discuss data integrations, evaluation, and human oversight with buyers and technical teams.
- Strong written communication and ability to coordinate several pursuits across teams without formal authority.
- Based in the United States, with a preference for the East Coast or the San Francisco and New York areas.
Applicants must be based in: United States.
