Founding Product Engineer (Remote, Germany)

Visa sponsorship is not available. A European software company building AI-powered communications tools is hiring a product engineer to take features from first idea to production. You will work directly with customers and the commercial team to find real problems and build practical solutions. This is a hands-on role with a lot of ownership over the direction of your work.

What you'll do

• Shape feature ideas into testable hypotheses, then prototype and build them.
• Run quick product experiments and validate ideas with customers.
• Stay in regular contact with customers, partners and Sales to surface pain points and opportunities.
• Design and implement product tracking, and use the data to guide iteration.
• Build across the stack and help set architecture and implementation choices.
• Balance fast validation with maintainable, scalable code.

What you need

• At least three years of product engineering experience delivering features end to end.
• Full-stack experience with Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS and React.
• Experience taking software from architecture and implementation through to production release.
• Hands-on experience in a startup environment.
• German at B2 level or above, and fluent English.
• Strong product mindset, comfort working with metrics, and a pragmatic, experiment-driven approach.
• Experience integrating large language models or building AI-powered features is an advantage.
• Must be based in Germany.
